这两部施尼特克作品实际上是同一部引人入胜的作品《旧风格组曲》(Suite in the Old Style)的不同版本。这部作品是这位前苏联时代的“坏男孩”，放弃了激进的风格，转而采用更容易理解的方法之后写成的。第一个版本的五个乐章都配有获奖诗人Lia Purpura的一首诗 (摘自她的诗集《不该如此美丽》)，而第二个版本则省略了这首诗。剩下的作品是贝多芬的迷人的《加森豪尔三重奏》以及瓦斯奎兹专门为普朗克三重奏创作《双簧管、巴松管和钢琴三重奏》。

普朗克三重奏 (The Poulenc Trio) 成立于2003年。自成立以来，三重奏组一直活跃在世界各地的音乐节以及音乐会。因精湛的演出水准被一些媒体报道为“古典和当代室内乐大师”。三重奏组致力于委托、表演和录制在世作曲家的新作品。自成立以来，他们极大地扩展了双簧管、巴松管和钢琴的曲目，共首演了22部原创作品，其中包括三首三重奏协奏曲和全管弦乐协奏曲。他们还承诺将探索和推广反映非洲、亚洲、东欧和犹太文化根源的音乐。最近的音乐会有非洲裔古巴爵士乐大师帕基多·德里维拉、墨西哥裔美国作曲家卡洛斯·梅迪纳、俄罗斯裔美国作曲家娜塔莉亚·梅德韦杰夫夫斯卡娅的作品，以及作曲家雅科夫·雅库洛夫对犹太文化的探索。此前，三重奏组曾与华盛顿特区的国家美术馆、沃尔特斯艺术博物馆、巴尔的摩艺术博物馆和俄罗斯的艾尔米塔什国家博物馆合作，推出了名为“Music at The Museum”的开创性音乐会系列，音乐表演与博物馆展览的相结合的形式，获得了业内外的称赞与支持。
