◆专辑介绍：

莫里斯•拉威尔在重新编排管弦乐方面可谓无人能敌。他应芭蕾舞团的依托改编了夏布里埃充满活力，振奋人心的《Menuet pompeux》和舒曼的《狂欢节》。应出版商Jean Jobert的要求，他重新编排了自己的好友德彪西的《Sarabande et Danse》。拉威尔改编的穆索尔斯基的《Pictures at an Exhibition》，使用了一个非常大型乐团，展现了俏皮，奇幻的音乐场景。

本专辑中的音乐作品由莱纳德•斯拉特金指挥，莱纳德•斯拉特金个子不高（只有1.60米），但气度不凡，他熟悉乐队的名个声部特性，善于调动和平衡声部的整体效果，能够让乐队发出浑然似天成的精彩音响，是当代世界乐坛上最富实力的一位明星指挥。
